STATE DEPARTMENT FOR CORRECTIONAL SERVICES SET TO HARMONIZE ITS OPERATIONS

The State Department for Correctional Services has embarked on a process of reviewing its organizational structure as it seeks to harmonize and align its operations with envisaged reforms.
Speaking during a meeting with the technical team on review of organizational structure and staff establishment, Principal Secretary Dr. Salome Beacco said the review is meant to ensure that the department support the delivery of the bottom -up economic development agenda by improving efficiency and effectiveness.
“The ongoing efforts will give clarity on the functions of the department. They are meant to ensure that it performs optimally and enhance service delivery. Every person’s function is sacred and should be accorded the honor it deserves.” Said the PS.
She said the exercise provides the department with an opportunity to identify existing gaps as well address possible functional overlaps and duplication.
