By Nicholas Kigondu
Twenty officers drawn from the State Department for Correctional Services have benefited from a three-day training programme meant to help them build stronger relationships and navigate through life’s challenges.
The training, organised by The Prem Rawat Foundation, saw ten officers from the Kenya Prisons Service and an equal number from Probation and Aftercare Services, receive customized training designed to meet their specific needs.
According to facilitators of the training, Ernest Leketi and Moreno Mofokeng, the programme was meant to equip the beneficiaries with requisite skills including self-awareness, emotional and social intelligence as well as help them develop resilience and enhanced commitment.
Speaking at the close of the training, Secretary Administration at the State Department for Correctional Services Sammy Kioko, who was representing the Principal Secretary Dr. Salome Beacco, said the training is part of ongoing efforts by the department to enhance employees’ productivity, boost morale and improve overall performance.
