CORRECTIONAL SERVICES PS DONATES ASSISTIVE DEVICES TO PWDS IN KIAMWANGI WARD

Correctional Services Principal Secretary Dr Salome Beacco says the government remains committed to supporting those at the bottom of the economic pyramid.
Speaking in Kiamwangi, Gatundu South Constituency during a ceremony to donate assistive devices to persons with disability, the PS said the government under the leadership of President William Ruto has tasked those in government to dedicate their energies towards improving the lives of Kenyans.
During the ceremony, persons with disability were registered with the Social Health Authority to cushion them from financial distress arising from medical expenses.
During the exercise, 20-wheel chairs, 15 underarm crutches,15 white canes were distributed to needy cases within Kiamwangi ward. 300 bags of rice and 260 bags of beans were also distributed.
This even as she urged area residents to register for the government’s Climate Works programme which seeks to economically empower young people.
She said the initiative, alongside other government plans like the affordable housing programme is a clear testament of the President’s resolve to address challenges facing the country.
